The story behind this:

I've been heavily involved in website development as a web developer, but there are times when I feel unfulfilled, doing the same tasks day in and day out. I'm someone who loves discovering new things, so naturally, my interest turned to game development. This is my journey into game development, with no prior background except for coding. Let's see if it parallels my experience in web development.

Start looking for a game engine:

I began my search for a game engine that suited me. I was familiar with Unity, Unreal Engine, RPG Maker, and Godot, so I decided to try them all. Unity and Unreal Engine seemed more complex to me, so I hesitated. It might take more time and experience to dive into game development with them.

Next, I tried RPG Maker, but it didn't feel right for me. Finally, I landed on Godot. It felt like the perfect fit. I delved into hours of video tutorials.

An interesting path:

After watching countless tutorials, I began implementing what I had learned. I created a new project and started looking for assets. The abundance of assets in every category piqued my interest even more. I downloaded free assets, created players, tile maps, and backgrounds. This has been my most rewarding experience so far. Since coding is my daily routine, arranging tiles and creating environments feels like second nature.

I hope to stay consistent on this game development journey. I already have ideas for new games, but sometimes finding assets can be challenging. I've even tried creating my own, but alas, my design skills leave much to be desired.
